Ikenna Beney Amaechi is of the best: The drag queen artist with the impressive voice perfectly creates a sweet illusion. He has performed on stages in Las Vegas and New York, Los Angeles and Paris, Cannes and Salzburg, but always avoided his hometown Berlin —sometimes the prophet has no honor in his own country!

But these times are over now: Since 30 th November the theater at Marlene-Dietrich-Platz (formerly Belle et Fou), next to the Casino and the Musical Theater, hosts Ikenna Cabaret Berlin.

The theater where Ikenna Beney gathers the cream of drag around him is centrally located and easy to find. It has a charming ambiance and one of the most modern stages in the German capital. Ikenna managed to bring together some of the best artists for this show. At Ikenna Cabaret Berlin, they capture the audience twice a day, Wednesday through Sunday (shows at 8:00 pm and 10:45 pm).

Ikenna is a dream, an illusion of a woman with a tremendous voice reminiscent of Whitney Houston. Ikenna Cabaret is a fireworks of impressive singing performance, graceful movement and radiant stage presence. Ikenna’s sister queens don’t rank behind him.

New versatile and unique performers from around the world are engaged, often for a short time, to entertain the Berlin audience. It’s a sparkling, audacious and funny show —refined, but not too refined, feminine, but not too feminine, showing some naked skin, but not too much— in any case, it’s a perfect illusion and pure delight.
